Service Providers - Where you begin...

100% of the Service Providers we employ begin in our Associate Program. There are few occasions that we find we are able to Fast Track a service provider when they come to us with years of experience.

Our Associate Program is a 6-8 month comprehensive hands-on experience that provides training in the areas of technical skills, guest handling, and business building.

Our Associates work with a dedicated service provider to grow into a career hairdresser. Like our service providers, our Associate Program has a performance based level system. There are 4 levels. Each level has specific skill set and goals. As you meet those targets, you are promoted to the next level. With that ‘level jump’, there is a raise in hourly wages, additional shifts behind the chair (taking your own guests), and the opportunity to grow your business. This ensures that every associate that graduates from our program will have a seamless transition from associate to stylist with the skills necessary for success in our industry.

Is This Program Right for everyone?

Unfortunately NO. While this is an AMAZING program, it is not right for everyone. It IS right for those that truly want to be the best at what they do, have a CAREER, not just a JOB, and are WILLING to use the training and tools provided to rise to the top.

Still in beauty school?

We have a wonderful opportunity for those while still in Beauty School. in school. We offer the ‘Onboarding Program’. Where you work in the salon while still in school (under an educator & on occasion, the front desk) 1-2 days per week. Once graduated, you move into the Associate Program full time as openings become available.

Already a working stylist?

We’ve got you covered too! For those who already have the skills needed, we offer the ‘Fast Track Program’. In this program, the ball is in your court. It can be as 6 weeks. Show us you have what it takes, to take care of our guests in a way they are accustomed, and you will breeze through quickly.

Sales Associate/Guest Services Responsibilities Overview:

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
• Keep front end of house clean, neat, and organized at all times.
• Assess customers needs and provide assistance and information on product features
• “Go the extra mile” to drive sales
• Maintain product shelves/clothing racks/displays in attractive organized manner.
• Actively seek out customers in store to help.
• Remain knowledgeable on services/products offered and discuss available options
• Cross sell products/services in addition to up-selling merchandise
• Build productive trust relationships with customers
• Commitment to using our branded scripts: unique phone greeting, making appointments, confirmation calls, rescheduling, answering questions regarding services, pricing, level system, upselling, handling upset guests, all with professionalism and using our customized scripts when applicable.
• Following through with our planned script for our salon tour, new client welcome gift, and referral program, etc.
• Ensuring all guests are greeted warmly, checked in, and share about current specials and promotions. Offer coffee, take coat, etc..,
• Assist guests with purchases. (answer questions, make suggestions). Follow through at check out with company’s recommended scripts and procedures for offering retail/homecare options, scheduling next visit, offering more service choices to upgrade the guest experience.
• Assist guest in dressing room (Take things to and from the dressing room for guests, providing different sizes, items that enhance the look).
• Create & Maintain displays with Team Leads guidance.
• Make suggestions for boutique items to complete their look
• Plan and track goals.
• Check in, steam & tag (boutique items), and put away all deliveries (excluding back bar supplies).
• Help with Inventory counts as assigned.
• Maintain and present a fashionable, professional image following our brand code requirements of dress, hair, etc.
• Attend all team and sales associate meetings.
• Attend/Complete all classes/training (online & in store) for Sales Associates.

Compensation:

• Sales Associate: $12.00 per hour plus monthly bonuses and commissions
• Hourly increases based on goals met

Lead Sales Associate/Guest Services Responsibilities Overview:

• Same as Sales Associate plus....
• Prepare daily reports and bank deposits
• Review daily sales reports and complete daily sales paperwork accurately, on time
• Create Sales Associate schedules in timely manner. Ensure coverage and stay within budget.
• Cover any shifts that you are unable to find coverage for when sales associate calls out.
• Act as liaison between Sales Associates and management
• Train all new Sales Associates.
• Create and maintain displays on regular basis (boutique displays, nesting tables, featured product, promotions, etc.., (Include sales associates for assistance).
• Ensure all Sales Associates are planning and tracking their goals.
• Conduct monthly ‘One on One’ meetings with Sales Associates.
• Hold weekly 15 minute ‘Huddles’ to keep Sales team up to date. (this can be done via Zoom)
• Conduct Monthly meetings with Sales team (this can be done via Zoom)
• Ensure Inventory counts are completed as required. Complete reports and turn into management upon completion.
• Hold Sales Associates accountable for their responsibilities at all times.
• Handle guest challenges.
• Ensure promotional displays/signage are put up and taken down on time.
• Ensure all Sales team knows and promotes the current promotions
• Assist in recruiting and hiring new Sales Associates.

Compensation:

• Lead Sales Associate: Starting at $15.00 - $18 per hour (based on experience) plus monthly bonuses and commissions

HC Salon is a ‘teaching’ salon which makes it a great fit for a cosmetology student or recent graduate.

Our salon is filled with the talent of several stylist who are always willing to teach and help you along the way. When pursuing a career in the industry, our goal is that our Support Team members move into our ‘Associate Program’, and then into a ‘stylist/colorist’ role - a tried and true way to build a successful career.

Duties include welcoming clients, performing shampoos, cleaning and maintenance of the salon. Applicants must be polished, friendly and enjoy interacting with the public. Full-time or part-time positions available. Hours include evenings and weekends. Support Staff earn an Hourly wage + Tips.
